Our task was to disrupt an entire category of femtech within healthchare by developing a first-of-its-kind period care solution. Innovation had to balance user expectations, business constraints, and the regulatory landscape of a Class II medical device.
Solution
We developed the first menstrual cup and applicator combination on the marketplace, and helped develop the brand identity behind the product that resonated with customers and led to over $500,000 in pre-sales before the product even hit the shelf.
Result
Ultimately, the Sunny Cup + Applicator became the first product of its kind to receive FDA 510(k) clearance and has created a category all its own in the femtech space for user-friendly, sustainable, period care products without compromise.
