Position Overview

We're seeking a creative and motivated Industrial Designer with product design experience to join our team. As an industrial designer at Glassboard, you will play a key role in driving the design of industry leading products across consumer, medical, transportation, and industrial product categories.

Key Responsibilities

• Outstanding visualization skills, an understanding of human factors, and rapid idea/concept generation skills

• A strong understanding of user needs

• Strong CAD skills

• Build compelling stories to communicate design direction to your design team members and the larger client-facing teams

• Coordinate with broader engineering team and manufacturing to drive design intent and CMF through production

• An understanding of design for manufacturing; injection molding, machining, etc.

• Work with Design engineers directly on CAD models to package engineering concepts into compelling product designs

• Work well in a cross functional environment with teammates that include Product Management, Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, and Embedded Software

• Help to further refine ID workflow processes to enhance the product development process

• A positive attitude and openness to give and receive constructive feedback are required

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in industrial design or similar (preferred)

• Proficient at 3D CAD (surface modeling experience required)

• Proficient at ideation and concepting (required)

• Proficient at visualization (keyshot experience preferred)

• Proficient at storytelling (ability to confidently communicate design intent to internal and external teams required)
